Tiger Woods Launches Educational Initiative in Augusta

In April 2025, Tiger Woods announced a partnership between his TGR Foundation and Augusta National Golf Club to establish a TGR Learning Lab in Augusta, Georgia. The facility aims to provide free STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics) education and youth Golf programs to local students.

The initiative reflects Woods’ commitment to education and expanding access to Golf for underrepresented communities. The Learning Lab is scheduled to open in 2028, offering resources and opportunities to empower students and foster the next generation of Golf enthusiasts.

This collaboration with Augusta National signifies a significant investment in community development and the promotion of diversity within the sport.

The TGR Learning Lab will be located at the former Lamar Elementary School site and serve students in the Richmond County School System and surrounding areas.

Prior to its opening, the foundation plans to deliver pre-launch programming, including STEAM curriculum and community events, to engage and prepare students.

Woods’ dedication to education and youth development through this initiative underscores his broader vision for the role of Golf in society, emphasizing inclusivity and empowerment.
